Love Crackers with your cup of Tea? And want to bake some at home?
Then these easy "Sweet and Salty Crackers" are perfect treats to bake and a little warning, they are ADDICTIVE!
Who doesn't like a little crunch with their cup of tea or coffee?
My major Baking experiments revolve around the idea to have something with my cup of tea. Be it sweet or savoury. We usually enjoy crunchy sweet biscuits and also savoury crackers with hot cuppa.
So, this time I planned on baking my own crackers. They are salty with hint of sweetness that pair really well together. Even though such crackers are easily available in the market with innumerable varieties and flavours, but there is something really satisfying in baking your own from scratch.
And the best part about these Crackers are that they are ONE POT RECIPE. No fuss, super quick and really yummy.
Once the dough has been prepared, keep it in a bowl covered and rest it for 15-20 minutes. Then all you will be left to do is roll it out, cut in desired shapes, lay it on the baking tray and do not forget to punch them and lastly sprinkle sugar on top if you like it. Bake it and you will have your own "SWEET AND SALTY CRACKERS from scratch".
Make sure to leave some space between the crackers on the baking tray for baking. After baking, they should turn out beautifully golden, slightly risen and super light.
How to eat these Crackers?
Truth be told, they taste just amazing on their own. But they serve a beautiful accompaniment with a cup of tea or coffee.
They can even be lathered with cheese and few toppings to make your own appetizer. Add your choice of dip, spread or jam on these crackers and they will surely not disappoint. They can also be eaten with thick soups.
We may not give much thought to these crisp, bite-sized bits of baked goodness from scratch we eat in so many different guises, but they truly are a staple of every nibbler's pantry.
