No Bake Mango Dessert

I will not hesitate a bit in saying that I can't get enough of these flavourful, luscious and aromatic MANGOES. It is such a versatile Fruit that it can be used in making so many desserts and it brings out the flavour making anyone go gaga after each bite.

There is no doubt that Mangoes taste absolutely amazing in itself, but they sure also bring out the best in desserts when added to them.

There is a punch of freshness that lingers throughout with powerful taste of Mangoes. From Cakes to Cheesecakes, popsicles to other frozen treats, this fruit has conquered all.

Therefore, when I had a few mangoes left in my Fruit basket, and I wanted to bring out a dessert, which was quick, flavourful, and yes fancy at the same time, this "Eggless Mango Dessert in a Glass" was the result.

Ingredients

All you need is just 3 ingredients to bring together this dessert. Super quick, really light, full of fruit and undoubtedly DELICIOUS.

The beautiful Layers!

It's all in the layers when it comes to this dessert. It ticks almost all the marks that a dessert should have -

  • "Crunch" from the biscuit base

  • "Creamy" texture from the addition of whipping cream

  • "Freshness" from the added Mangoes.

The making of No Bake Mango Dessert

Why pulse Mango pieces with Crushed Biscuits?

It is totally optional. I did it to get that Mango flavour throughout and so that each bite bursts with it.

Mango Pieces or Mango Pulp?

So, a lot of people love Mango Pulp and it will also definitely go in this dessert. I added Mango pieces so that when I take a bite with all the layers, I get crunch from biscuits and also Mango pieces to chew on for that extra burst. Since Whipped cream is already creamy, I chose Mango pieces over Mango pulp.

But you go ahead and Add either Mango Pulp or Pieces, both will taste equally delicious.

No Heavy Whipping Cream?

There are Whipping Powders that are available in the market which can also be a substitute to the heavy cream. These powders call for addition of milk for preparing cream. Follow the directions as per and create Whipping Cream.

Cream collected from Milk can also be used. Make sure it is fresh and super cold. Then whip it at high with addition of Powdered sugar and you can have your own home-made whipping cream

"The taste will vary from powder to homemade cream to heavy whipping cream but all will work"

No Bake Mango Dessert

All i have to say is, as quick it is to bring together this dessert, it finishes off even quickly. So here you go with the recipe.

What you need? (for 2 Glass desserts)

Fresh Peeled Mango - 1 big or 2 medium sized

Digestive Biscuits - 4-5 (medium)

Heavy Whipping Cream - 4 - 5 tablespoons (50-60 grams)

Powdered Sugar (optional) - 3 tablespoons (only when heavy cream is unsweetened)

Directions:

- Pulse Digestive Biscuits with few pieces of Mango. The texture would be crumbly.

- Set half of the Biscuit crumb at the bottom of the glass and even it.

- Now add few pieces of Mango or Add a layer of Mango Pulp.

- Add another layer of left Biscuit Crumb.

- Prepare whipped cream by whisking at high cold cream and add sugar if unsweetened. Keep whisking till it reaches stiff peaks. Now add a thick layer of Whipping Cream on top of the Biscuit Layer.

- Carefully cut wide side of the peeled Mango and cut thin slices.

- Arrange these thin slices in form of a rose on top of the Whipped Cream layer to make it look fancy and beautiful.

- Now either serve or chill in the refrigerator to serve later.
